x meets y

I've been trying to write you, put you down on paper and make the words come alive, just how you made me come alive the second you walked into my life. Its weird, to think that we started just as quickly as we ended. I would of spent a life time with you. I walked right up to you and you set my soul on fire, just like that. Its funny to think of the line " you had me at hello. " because you had me right before. I saw you and I smiled, and you smiled back because you knew. Now a year and a half later I`ve grown so much, learned and experienced so much. I truly see the world in a different way. But how do I move on when your fingertips are still on my heart and your voice still resonates down to my toes and your smile lives in my eyes and every time my mind wanders it goes directly to you, and wherever you are.

I walk down memory lane, because i love running into you.

Memories, a magical thing really, its amazing to wonder how a flashback can bring back so many memories. Some whimsical, some happy, and some that make you wish you didn't remember them at all..

Sitting here, I remember them all. The way you feel, your touch, your lips.. your hold. They way you giggle when something shocks you and the way you looked at me with that look that said " I'm your everything." I remember the first time I laid eyes on you, and I remember you asking me how I was still single. Well I guess here it is; I care too much. I put too much effort into things for too long. I'm the kind of girl that tries to make a bad thing work. Our situation isn't ideal, thats understood.

A picture can say a thousand words, well yours darling, say a million more. Your body says you want it, your eyes say you've been lying. The past is the past, and thats where it should stay. Nobody changes, you know it & I know it, they know it. They might put on an act for a few months but the true colors always show. I guess they got the best of you, the best of you that used to be mine.

I probably should of told you long ago, I'm not the one you want, But i guess you figured that out in a different way. We saw x meets y and different trains and understood that distance makes a difference.
